Title I
-
Title I is a federally funded program designed to help students meet academic standards in reading and math in order to succeed in school. Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) (signed into law on December 10, 2015, replacing No Child Left Behind) is to “provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education and to close educational achievement gaps.” Title I provides assistance and support to help ensure every child has access to an excellent education.
Sage Academy qualifies for Title I federal funds which are used to supplement instructional programs. Title I funds are allocated based on the number of students at the school who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Title I services vary from school to school based on the school improvement plan. For example, some schools provide after school tutoring while others may have small groups for reading intervention during the day. For specific information, please contact the school administration.
